Analytic Systems has developed a 2U 19 or 23 inch rack mount chassis that many of our power boards are designed to fit. The 2U height was selected as it allows the most flexibility in the selection of capacitive and inductive components for better performance. Both our BCA and BCD series battery chargers are available in 600 and 1000 watt models, as are our isolated VTC Voltage Converters and PWS series Power Supplies.

All our rack mount models feature bright and accurate 1 inch high LED readout of voltage and current that is readable from across the room in any lighting condition from daylight to full darkness. The 19 inch rack mount version is identified by the letter R after the power designation, ie. PWS1000R and the 23 inch rack mount models are identified by the letter Q after the power designation, ie. PWS1000Q.

One option that is only available in our rack mount voltage converters and power supplies is a battery backup option (Option B). We fit a 1 amp trickle charger into the chassis, that is connected to an external battery. If the power input fails, the battery will seamlessly take over supplying the load until power is restored.

The rack mount BCA rack mount battery chargers are available in a 2U enclosure to fit either 19 inch (Option R) or 23 inch (Option Q) racks and feature precision charging voltages for 1 or 2 banks of batteries at 12, 24, 32, 36, 48 or 72 (rail) VDC. Models are available to operate from 110VAC or 220VAC at 50, 60 or 400 Hz.

Power levels are 600 or 1000 watts. All models feature user selectable 2-stage or 3-stage charging profiles, temperature compensation and user initiated equalization for optimum charging and maximum battery life.

The rack mount VTC series voltage converters are available in a 2U enclosure to fit either 19 inch (Option R) or 23 inch (Option Q) racks and feature precision output voltages of 12, 24, 32, 36, 48 or 72 (Rail) VDC. Models are available to operate from input voltages as low as 20 VDC and up to 400 VDC at peak power levels from 720 to 1200 watts. All models feature overload protection, short circuit protection, over temperature protection for maximum reliability. Full isolation allows different ground levels to be accommodated. A Battery Backup option (Option B) is available to protect the loads from loss of input power.

Available in a 2U enclosure to fit either 19 inch (Option R) or 23 inch (Option R) racks. Power levels range from 720 to 1200 watts peak power with 110 or 220 VAC inputs and available with precision output voltages from 12 to 72 (rail) VDC. Standard safety features include inrush protection, over temperature protection, current limiting and short circuit protection and output overvoltage protection. A Battery Backup option (Option B) is available to protect the loads from loss of input power.

Battery Backup Option (Option B)

A 1 amp auxiliary trickle charger added into the power supply or voltage converter charges an external battery. If the power source fails, the external battery immediately takes over providing power to the load until it is exhausted or the load goes into ‘low voltage’ shutdown. When power is restored the power supply or voltage converter resumes providing power to the load, and the trickle charger recharges the battery so it is ready for the next input power outage.
