Analytic Systems Builds Custom Power Supply for C-Ram Program

Analytic Systems is pleased to announce that it has designed a custom, ruggedized power supply to help power the US Army’s C-Ram system (Counter Rocket, Artillery, and Mortar robotic system). Through our US reseller, Tecknowledgey, Inc. and PKMM Inc., the custom PWS1510MS-28PK power supply is integrated into the C-RAM system and has to stand up to the rugged conditions that the robotic system finds itself in, from desert to marine to arctic conditions.

The C-Ram Program integrates fielded systems to sense, warn and if possible destroy incoming mortars and rockets. The system correlates sensors with RAM Shape, warning, Intercept and Response systems through Command and Control. This system locates and tracks targets using on-board radar (inside the R2D2-like dome) and employs a Gatling gun that fires up to 75 armor-piercing tungsten penetrator rounds per second. This allows the system to destroy incoming rockets, artillery shells, and mortar shells in less time than it would take a soldier to identify that a shot had even been fired.
